How to stay warm with Brick House’s Winter Warmers Cocktails

How to stay warm with Brick House’s Winter Warmers Cocktails

by brickhouseblog · Jan 4, 2018

Jack Frost nipping at your nose this winter? We’ve got just the thing to help you warm up. At Brick House Tavern + Tap, our skilled mixologists work year-round, sampling seasonal spirits and exploring new flavor profiles to concoct their latest libations. Tough job, right?

But cast aside your envy and belly up to our bar. This winter, bourbon and whiskey are taking center stage with our seasonal drink specials. And it doesn’t matter when your Brick House craving hits — we’ve got a bevvy for any time of day.

For leisurely lunches, you can’t beat our Winter Smash, a refreshing mix of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, fresh blackberries and Gosling’s Ginger Beer. The sweet and spicy ginger notes make this cocktail a natural complement to our peanutty Thai Chicken Salad.

When you’re hankering for a hearty dinner, our Festive Fashioned — featuring Crown Royal Regal Apple Whisky, Bulleit American Straight Rye Whiskey, cranberry-infused syrup and a judicious sprinkling of cinnamon — plays nicely with our Chicken Pot Pie, a house specialty we bake fresh every day.

And your happy hour just got a little happier. Our Honey Bourbon Berry features Bulleit American Straight Rye Whiskey, honey-infused syrup, fresh blackberries and lemon juice. You can’t go wrong pairing it with our Butcher’s Board, an assortment of cheeses and hand-sliced cured meats.

But don’t worry, early(-ish) risers — we’ve got you covered, too. Our Irish Coffee brings together Jameson Irish Whiskey, Baileys Irish Cream and hot coffee, all topped with whipped cream. It’s the perfect a.m. refreshment, especially if you’re making room for our Chicken & Waffles or Grand Marnier French Toast at your brunch table. (By the way, we set ours on both Saturday and Sunday until 2 p.m.)

So what are you waiting for? Get cozy at your local Brick House today.

Mix and match for the perfect pairings at Brick House

Mix and match for the perfect pairings at Brick House

by brickhouseblog · Jul 11, 2016

Life’s too short for routine. That’s why at Brick House, we like to add a little excitement to the everyday by offering unique food and beverage pairings.

First off, kick that boring brunch in the can. Our Bloody Good Mary is practically a meal in itself. We mix Skyy vodka, Zing Zang®, Guinness and a splash of pickle juice and top it with a deviled egg, salami, smoked cheddar, an olive skewer and a spiced pork rind rim. But if you’re still hungry, we recommend the Steak & Eggs. You’ll get tender filet mignon and two eggs cooked how you like ‘em, served with crispy potatoes and buttered toast.

For a midday meal, you can’t go wrong with a burger. But forget those fast food sandwiches. For a premium experience, our Kobe burger features a hand-formed wagyu beef patty, sautéed onions, roasted tomatoes, spring mix, brie and roasted red pepper aioli on a knot bun and comes served with a generous side of house-made fries. A serious burger deserves a serious beer, and we’re proud to carry a fine selection from all over the U.S. and around the world. Whether you’re an IPA-obsessed hop head or you like to keep things simple with a Budweiser, we’ve got you covered.

When your team is playing, we’ve got the game on the big screen and Drunken Chops on the grill. You’ll get two house-brined center-cut pork chops in a whiskey BBQ glaze topped with onion strings and served with cheddar mashed potatoes. To wash it down, try one of our draft beers or a specialty cocktail, like the Blood Orange Whiskey Sour.

Date night? We can do the nice-dinner thing. Our Thai Chicken Salad features sliced chicken, red bell peppers, shaved Napa cabbage, fresh cilantro and crispy wontons on a bed of chopped lettuce topped with peanut sauce & honey lime vinaigrette. Trust us, this is no wimpy bed of lettuce. Our extended menu of fine wines promises the perfect complement. The Hob Nob Pinot Noir pairs especially well with the bold flavors.

In need of a late-night snack? Our Butcher’s Board is sure to satisfy your hankering. It features a selection of prosciutto, pepperoni, salami, country sausage, shaved sirloin, blue cheese, brie, pimiento cheese, and smoked cheddar with homemade crostini. Try it with a Newcastle or Angry Orchard Cider.

Got your own favorite pairings? Then you’ve got braggin’ rights. Share your experience on Instagram with the official hashtag #BrickHouseTT.
