How to stay warm with Brick House’s Winter Warmers Cocktails

How to stay warm with Brick House’s Winter Warmers Cocktails

by brickhouseblog · Jan 4, 2018

Jack Frost nipping at your nose this winter? We’ve got just the thing to help you warm up. At Brick House Tavern + Tap, our skilled mixologists work year-round, sampling seasonal spirits and exploring new flavor profiles to concoct their latest libations. Tough job, right?

But cast aside your envy and belly up to our bar. This winter, bourbon and whiskey are taking center stage with our seasonal drink specials. And it doesn’t matter when your Brick House craving hits — we’ve got a bevvy for any time of day.

For leisurely lunches, you can’t beat our Winter Smash, a refreshing mix of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, fresh blackberries and Gosling’s Ginger Beer. The sweet and spicy ginger notes make this cocktail a natural complement to our peanutty Thai Chicken Salad.

When you’re hankering for a hearty dinner, our Festive Fashioned — featuring Crown Royal Regal Apple Whisky, Bulleit American Straight Rye Whiskey, cranberry-infused syrup and a judicious sprinkling of cinnamon — plays nicely with our Chicken Pot Pie, a house specialty we bake fresh every day.

And your happy hour just got a little happier. Our Honey Bourbon Berry features Bulleit American Straight Rye Whiskey, honey-infused syrup, fresh blackberries and lemon juice. You can’t go wrong pairing it with our Butcher’s Board, an assortment of cheeses and hand-sliced cured meats.

But don’t worry, early(-ish) risers — we’ve got you covered, too. Our Irish Coffee brings together Jameson Irish Whiskey, Baileys Irish Cream and hot coffee, all topped with whipped cream. It’s the perfect a.m. refreshment, especially if you’re making room for our Chicken & Waffles or Grand Marnier French Toast at your brunch table. (By the way, we set ours on both Saturday and Sunday until 2 p.m.)

So what are you waiting for? Get cozy at your local Brick House today.

Plan a relaxing date night at Brick House

Plan a relaxing date night at Brick House

by brickhouseblog · Aug 14, 2017

When love — or at least just mutual fondness — is in the air, Brick House Tavern + Tap is the place to be. As the perfect date-night destination, we’ve got all the makings for a relaxed evening out.

Cozy up in one of our comfortable booths or choose your favorite seat on the outdoor patio. Sports fans can enjoy the big game on any the big screens. Feeling playful? We’ve got plenty of lawn and board games available for you. Or just choose a quiet spot and let the conversation flow.

Then get things going with a couple of drinks. In addition to our extensive wine list, our handcrafted cocktails are sure to please any palate. We recommend our classics-with-a twist, such as the Blood Orange Whiskey Sour (Maker’s Mark, blood orange liqueur and lemon) or the Basil Gimlet (Hendrick’s Gin, basil, simple syrup and fresh lime juice). If your heart belongs to beer, don’t forget that we always have plenty of local craft brews on rotation and on tap.

Next, order up some appetizers. Our Seven Layer Dip (white bean hummus, yogurt, tomatoes, avocados, cheddar, olives and harissa), Duck Wings (crispy duck wings, brick sauce and cilantro served with sriracha ranch dipping sauce), Zucchini Curls (panko parmesan, fresh-cut zucchini ribbons and sriracha ranch dipping sauce) are all perfect for lingering over.

And when you’re ready to move on to your main meal, our pizzas are just right for sharing on a date night. Of course, the Pepperoni (hand-cut pepperoni, mozzarella and brick cheese) is a favorite for obvious reasons, but do consider your alternatives: Kobe Brick (Wagyu beef, brick cheese, caramelized onions, oven-roasted tomatoes, bacon and arugula) and Wild Mushroom (wild mushrooms, mozzarella, brick cheese, baby arugula and goat cheese cream). Pair with side salads and you’re good to go.

Or try any of our creative entrées, such as the Prosciutto Wrapped Meatloaf (made with ground chuck, veal and Italian sausage with sweet chili ketchup, mushroom gravy and your choice of side) or the Sirloin Steak Tips (24-hour marinated sirloin served with mushroom and onion gravy, crispy shallots and choice of side).

And assuming you still have room, share a dessert, such as our Chocolate Bourbon Cake (house-baked Woodford Bourbon-soaked chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce) or the Ultimate Brownie (warm chocolate walnut brownie topped with vanilla ice cream).

What’s your favorite date night look like? Let us know on social media using the hashtag #BrickHouseTT.

This summer, stay cool at Brick House!

This summer, stay cool at Brick House!

by brickhouseblog · Jul 12, 2017

Looking to beat the heat this summer? Look no further than your local Brick House. Whether you’re gathering the gang for a corn hole tournament on the patio or catching nine innings on the big screen inside — and in the air conditioning — we’ve got you covered when it comes to amenities and entertainment options.

And let’s not forget about our amazing menu. A number of our favorite menu items are just right for a refreshing summertime pick-me-up.

Take, for example, our Sparkling Sangria. Made with New Amsterdam Mango Vodka, champagne, peach syrup, sweet n’ sour, strawberries and orange, it’s the perfect sweet sip for a lazy afternoon.

Or for a taste of the South, try the Carolina Spiked Tea, featuring Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, fresh brewed tea, mint and lemon.

For a cool but sophisticated libation, try the Cucumber Southside, made with Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka, St-Germain, fresh lemon sour, mint and lemon lime soda.

Pair any of these with some of our favorite warm-weather eats. We recommend the Seven Layer Dip (white bean hummus, yogurt, tomatoes, avocados, cheddar, olives and harissa), the Mahi Mahi (grilled or blackened wild-caught Mahi, roasted garlic butter, jasmine rice and choice of side) or the Filet Mignon Salad (seared filet, arugula, kale, croutons, roasted tomatoes, candied bacon and creamy green peppercorn dressing).

And don’t forget about our seasonal cocktails. For a limited time, enjoy the Truly Cool Vodka & Soda, a mix of Truly Spiked & Sparkling Colima Lime and Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka; the Blackberry Collins, a cool drink of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, St-Germain, soda and freshly muddled blackberries; and the Patrón Jalapeño Rita, a delicious marg made with Patrón Silver, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice and a chipotle cinnamon rim.

And don’t skip our summer snack specials, such as the Loaded Thai Tots (crispy tater tots topped with Thai BBQ, peanut sauce, cilantro mayo, sriracha and lime) and the Spinach Artichoke Pizza (topped with Parmesan cream, prosciutto, spinach, artichokes, arugula, oven-roasted tomatoes, asparagus and ground pepper).

Here’s to keeping it cool!

What Your Brick House Cocktail Says About You

What Your Brick House Cocktail Says About You

by brickhouseblog · May 23, 2017

At Brick House Tavern + Tap, we take special pride in using the finest ingredients and the creativity of a master mixologist to come up with some truly amazing specialty drinks. And as it turns out, your favorite cocktail says a lot about you — aside from the fact that you have great taste. Here’s what your go-to drink tells us about your personality.

Blackberry Collins: Made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, St-Germain, soda and muddled blackberries, this summer special is sweet but with a sophisticated edge… kind of like you.

Patron Jalapeno Rita: Always the life of the party, you’re the one your friends can depend on to heat things up. That’s why you’re a fan of this cocktail made with Patrón Silver, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice and a chipotle cinnamon rim.

Truly Cool Vodka & Soda: You’re laid-back and chill, so you dig this simply refreshing mix of Truly Spiked & Sparkling Colima Lime and Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka.

Sparkling Sangria: We can tell by your Instagram feed that you love the finer things in life. Luckily for you, this effervescent libation — made with New Amsterdam Mango Vodka, champagne, peach syrup, sweet n’ sour, strawberries and orange — tastes as great as it looks.

The Zombie: You’re the “work hard, play harder” type. So when you belly up to the bar, you look for the drink with the biggest kick. This one — made with Bacardi Rum, Cruzan 151, Captain Morgan, pineapple and orange topped with Myer’s Dark Rum — more than fits the bill. That’s why we limit you to two.

Twisted Old Fashioned: People think you’re a traditionalist, but that isn’t to say you don’t appreciate a fresh take on a standard. We suggest this deliciously fruity cocktail, made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, orange peel and muddled dark cherries.

Cheers!
